The Aftermath

Okay, so I made it through the “Holidays”!!! WHEW! What a rough couple of days!!

Christmas Eve is always spent with my family, and I have a BIG family…so that night was pretty crazy. I didn’t really have much time to think and by the time we left my sisters house my head was buzzing!!! Danny and I stayed up for a little bit at home just to enjoy the quiet! Plus we knew we were in for a busy day when we got up in the morning!

Here is my tree, since I hadn’t posted it yet…too bad it doesn’t look like that much any more…the cat has been in it a few times!

As per my family’s tradition, we opened our gifts on Christmas Eve (just from my parents and the relatives). This is the loot from them: a pink T3 hair dryer with a diffuser attachment, some ornaments in the shape of shoes, a hat, handbag and dress, a book (The Brief Wonderous Life of Oscar Wao), some pyjamas, a silver platter, a heart shape loaf pan, a red cable knit throw (draped over the couch), JA HENKELS KNIVES!!!!!! and a Lulu hoodie (the black folded up thing, it’s a remix hoodie with the writing all over it!! I LOVE IT! It was my gift from my grandma in the secret santa exchange – which apparently worked out to my benefit!) – the cat we already owned! ;p

Christmas morning was just me and Danny. We got to wake up at a leisurely pace and started out with some coffee (I had 2, one with Baileys, one with eggnog) while we opened our stockings…then we couldn’t wait until after breakfast so we opened our gifts. These are from Danny: books (a Mac user book -YAY!!!!!, Two chicken soup books – the cat lover and the pet lover, Tales of Beedle the Bard – Harry Potter stuff!), a neck pillow for traveling, a Wizard of Oz ornament and Swarovski earrings and a Swarovski Necklace

Once we were done with the gifts we moved into the kitchen to make bacon and eggs for breakfast! YUM! We got to relax a bit as the in-laws weren’t coming over until 5 pm, and we weren’t eating until around 6:30. So we had a nice relaxing time getting everything together for dinner!

Here is a picture of my dining room table all done up!

Once our tummies were full and we weren’t quite ready for dessert, we moved into the living room for more gifts. I received: placemats and linen napkins along with some Relaxation Avocado Oil Lotion from Danny’s Nana, a porcelain sugar bowl from Danny’s Uncle, a pretty scarf and $30 Walmart gift card from Danny’s other grandparents, Scrabble, Taboo, and Electronic Banking Monopoly  (which is ALLLLLLL Canadian! WOOT!) from Danny’s Brother and an OPI set (with the 2 colors I have been eyeing lately!!) and a $200 gift card to Aldo from Danny’s Parents!! WOW!

Okay, so that was my Christmas, and while this is a LOT of loot (I was seriously spoiled!) I saved the absolutely best for last (though I would say my swarovski stuff is my favorite – this is a genre of it’s own!)…Welcome to the Coach Section of my Christmas goodies!!!

I received the Rose Soho Hobo bag, the leather gloves and cashmere scarf from my mom. Danny got me the Light Pink Sabrina Bag, the Brown/Khaki classic bag, the Trudie Sunglasses and the Pink Heart Keychain

Looks like my loved ones know me well!!!

SO that was my Christmas! I was supremely spoiled and I can’t believe how fast it ended!!! I hope you all had WONDERFUL Christmases yourselves!!!

I am off to play some Monopoly with Danny!!

(OH, and I am trying to figure out the Comment issue…I am hoping it will be fixed soon so you all can leave comments on my posts!!!)
