Okay, so this might seem like a cop out post as there actually isn’t an outfit involved…but I wanted to show you guys how important accessories are to me…you are probably going to think I am crazy with all the stuff I am going to show you…but that is life.
First of all, I am going to mention that accessorizing is SO important to me that it actually played a role in picking out the bedroom furniture for our new house. I have ALWAYS wanted a vanity style dresser, so I was SO excited when I found one at the brick with FIFTEEN drawers!!! Seriously!! I have six okay sized ones that house camis, t-shirts, long sleeved shirts, various sweaters, vests and workout clothes. The middle 3 drawers are small (underwear, socks and bras) and the top six aren’t very deep, but you will see how great they are in the pictures!! SO here goes!!

That’s my top six drawers all open!! Perfect for holding my accessories (and we are just talking jewelry and stuff, the shoes and bags have their own closet…we will discuss that another time…

These are all my different hair ties, combs and barrettes…I don’t often wear hair pieces (like the big flower or some of the jeweled barrettes I have) but I do wear the more simple pieces quite often.

This is my bracelet drawer…it’s where I keep my “cheapies” – like the 2 for 1 accessories at Ricki’s or bangles from Aldo or something…I also keep some watches in here, the big pink scarf you see is actually a scarf watch…which reminds me I need to replace the battery in it!!

This messy jumble is my beads drawer…eek…I just can’t keep them organized…anyway, this is where I keep any longer, beaded necklaces (yes, I have that many that I needed a whole drawer for them)…I love me some beads!

Here is where I keep all my silver necklaces…as you can see, some still have their tags on them…I have to wear the new ones and cycle through the old ones! OOPS!

This is my favorite drawer of all…it has all these nifty compartments…it’s where I keep most of my “special” jewelry…like my fancier bangles and earrings and my nicer necklaces…

On top of the dresser are three little containers that house my earrings – the big glass treasure box style are for cheapies, the pink leather box is for my “fancier” ones (the two pairs out front sit in little velvet bags in that box) and the small silver round thing holds my day to day studs (crystal, pearl, chanel “c”s and a small pair of crystal encrusted gold hoops).

The top middle drawer houses all my scarves (I think I will have to do on post on the wonderful thing about scarves…) and all my sunglasses…yeah I have six pairs of sunglasses and 3 of them are expensive…and I have ordered another pair…what can I say?? I love sunglasses and I like to “change it up”

I keep my fancy jewelry tucked away in their boxes still…I have a lab created sapphire ring on the left. A garnet earrings and necklace set in the middle, and pearl and diamond earrings off on the side (all from Danny)…these are my special occasion pieces…though sometimes I wear the pearls just because.

And this…this is my favorite piece…I have been waiting to show it for a while…it was actually my Valentines present, but I didn’t want to show it when I was doing my joint post with Cat, so it will just be a guest in this post. This was custom made out of my previous wedding set (I don’t know if you remember from my old blog, the problems I had with my old setting and had to make the unfortunate decision to replace it…well, I wasn’t wearing it and it couldn’t be sized down so much without redoing it…so we had it redid). All of my diamonds are set in the white gold, and the little loop of rose gold is all for me…and then I REALLY wanted a pearl set in it, and I thought that pink might be too much (especially with the rose gold) and white was just too plain, when he pulled out this tahitian pearl, I knew it was the way to go.
SO anyway, now that I have used up a ton of space for pictures and rambled ON and ON and ON. This is what I use on a regular basis to accessorize…keep in mind that I am not the most normal person out there…but I dreamed of having a collection like this when I was a child…and I hope that one day I have a little girl who will love playing with my jewelry as much as I loved playing with my moms.
Happy Friday all!! Don’t forget to put on a little extra bling this weekend!!!

I have so much to say about this post. You’re so my fashion idol, no joke.
1. I LOVE how you have drawers for your accessories, that is my dream oneday…
2. I really want to raid your scarf drawer, I also LOVE scarves and would be very interested in a post on all the different ways to wear them because right now I only know about three or four different ways.
3. I also keep my nice jewelry in their original boxes and all my “cheap” jewelry is a tangled mess in my jewelry box.
4. You have so many gorgeous things. I’m seriously so jealous, on the other hand I can be very indecisive when it comes to accessories and I’m wondering how in the world you decide what to use everyday?
5. Finally, that V-day necklace is beyond beautiful!! So classy and elegant yet interesting.
I think this was my favourite fashion friday post yet! In the last year I’ve started to really realize how important accessories are and now I’m obsessed with them

Your V-Day necklace is gorgeous.
I love your dresser! No wonder you’re my fashion inspiration, I own a fraction of the accessories that you do!
Happy Friday Jen!

First – I am SO jealous of your vanity. I have wanted a vanity FOREVER. But I want a sit down one (desk-like). And mine would be less for jewelery and accessories and more for my ridiculous amount of makeup and skin care products
And a place for me to do my hair and makeup without taking over the bathroom like I do every morning…
Ideally this vanity will exist in my very own dressing room / walk in closet which I have serious plans to install into our house! (or at the worst – our next house
Second. I LOVE that necklace you made from your old wedding set. Absolutely beautiful!
Third: You have an awesomely fantastic accessories collection. Again – jealous

I wear nine earrings and three rings.
That’s it.
I feel under-accessorized.
Can I come shopping in your vanity?

Omg Jen. hahaha. I am so the opposite of you. I wear diamond earrings and nothing else….hopefully a ring on my finger soon to tho. hehe.

Oh my goodness I would be in heaven to have all of that BUT not in my little 700sq. ft. house. I hardly have enough room for my clothes. lol.

My jaw is on the floor! What a collection you have!!!!! I am totally left in the dust! I always wear the same gold hoop earrings (unless it’s a special occasion and I also have a pearl necklace and earring set from hubby which I’ve only worn twice so far) and I wear the same Guess yellow gold watch with australian crystals that match my wedding/engagement rings quite well (you might remember my rings being made in India when I got engaged? all yellow gold which I prefer over white). I do however, ALWAYS wear a necklace unless it’s something that can’t accommodate wearing one. Necklaces are really my “thing” for accessories. I have about 4 that I love and usually stick to, most of which were gifts from hubby.
I love scarves and I’m totally getting into those more and more and have a few of them. I bought a new purse yesterday which I think you’d be proud of (although it’s a small one perfect for TO)
I absolutely love your V-day peice you had made out of your original wedding jewelry. I remember when you were faced with that dilemma and I think it’s a beautiful way to be reminded of your weight loss success forever and I’m sure no doubt, you’ll have many more rings that won’t fit in the future!

Oh god!
I thought I had a lot of accessories!! You’re awesome Jen….I love it.
You have flower rings too!! We’re twins again!

Oh what an understanding husband you must have! A huge piece of furniture like that mostly dedicated to accessories. Nice.
You wouldn’t know it to look at me, but I have a similar collection. Most of mine is cheapies, I love buying cheap jewellry, it’s a nice little treat and it’s no big deal if you don’t wear it much. Plus I figure my “in” jewellry should be cheap, since styles change so much.
I have probably 30-40 necklaces that I hang on my wall (I have a tie rack, works really well, and things don’t get tangled). A drawer full of earrings and a drawer full of bracelets. I’ve got probably 10 pairs of sunglasses (but none are expensive). A few scarves, I’m not much of a scarf person, (they don’t go well with my sporty-spice clothes). No rings, I hate when rings are on fingers next to each other and rub, and I’ve got my wedding ring on my left and my engineer ring on my right.
ALL this stuff, I rarely wear any of it. Gonna make a point this weekend!

Oh. My. God.
It’s possible that I just peed a little.
That was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. Ever.
*tears*

I love your jewelry Jen. I always find myself struggling for a good piece to go with my outfit. To often I can’t find one so I don’t bother. I also don’t have a dedicated space where I can find all my stuff. I am impressed.

oh
my
gosh.
WOW
My jaw dropped at the first pic!! I am SO ENVIOUS of your collections!
Here’s me just begging for SOME sort of bedroom furniture to place all of our clothes in, yet you have this magnificent collection of accessories in a beautiful dresser.
SO JEALOUS!

I love you.
Can we sleep in the same bed in TO?
Signed,
Jen’s #1 fan

I laughed when I saw the pictures on your post – I’ve been wearing the same pair of earings and necklace for 3 years!

I am in awe. You and your accessory drawers are amazing.

wow – that vanity is out of control. i love how organized you are! i recently bought a few necklace trees because i hate when necklaces get tangled up together – a giant vanity is a much better idea.
