And RELAX!!

Okay, so my stress that I was hoping would be gone in a few days is DONE!!! OVER WITH!!!

I still don’t feel that “stress relief” but I imagine it will come!!! I have been dealing with it for 2 months, so it is about freaking time!!!  Yes, and now I don’t really have anything else to deal with on it…so maybe that is my problem??? I have nothing left to freak out about at the time??

Anyway, I struggled a little bit last night…AND a little bit today…I find sometimes that life and weight watching can get in the way of each other…it’s just finding that balance again…i still feel confident and I have a fabulous goal…i am thinking i might put pictures of my bridesmaids dresses on the fridge??? Might help with a few things!

I still have a few days ahead of me in the week, so I know I can get back on track and still do great!!

Tonight I am doing P90 with my friends after work…I was talking to a woman at work about the videos and she told me I shouldn’t be doing them because they are made for athletes and what not…I looked it up and I really don’t find anything that says that, besides, even in the videos he encourages the viewer to modify the workout if they can’t do something, so that’s why I do…I wouldn’t over work myself and cause injury so I don’t know…I find some people try to talk others out of succeeding…you know? Not trying to take a negative spin on it, in this situation this person often comments on the things I am doing…it’s just her way I guess…

I am also really sad because my cat broke my watch last night!!! He jumped on the counter where my watch was (I took it off while cooking, I always do) and he batted it off the counter…it landed face first on the ceramic tile and smashed the crystal…so I know what I will be doing this weekend!!! It will be a good excuse to get my other watches in working order as well (seriously, I have a couple others and the batteries in them have been dead for almost 2 years – since I got the other watch!)

So yeah…I guess I need to get started on my weekend to do list already!! Plus this is my last weekend to do the p90 videos with my friends for about 2 weeks! (EEK!) so I need to get those together so I can do them while they are gone!!

Ahem…P90 is a very good work out that anyone at any fitness level can do when modified. I will see you tonight to get in some P90 time. heheehe

  • I agree, if you modify it and can recognize the difference between “hurt” and “pain” while you’re working out and stay away from the pain, I don’t think there’s any reason any person can’t do any workout. (Quiz: what movie is that hurt and pain thing from?

    GI Jane I think)

  • Sounds like the woman at work doesn’t know zip. I HATE it when people are like that!

  • Thank goodness the stress is gone! that makes me SOOO happy!

I think you should just do what you know is right for you and your body as far as the videos go….like you said…you’re doing modifications to make them work for you!

    Bad Nico…. :)

  • Yayyyyyy now you can concentrate on fun stuff like what to do in TO!! :-D

I have no idea what those videos are, but I say that ANYONE can do anything to your own modification and limits. Look what Jillian makes those people do in BL! Right? Don’t let anyone hold you back girl, you’re IN the grove!

  • I think it sounds like that lady was being a big downer. I haven’t done P90 myself, but you’ve been doing it and you obviously haven’t injured yourself and it sounds like it’s making you feel GREAT so definitely keep doing it!!

That sucks about your watch. My cat has spilled coffee and water all over my notes so many times. You think I’d learn my lesson about letting him up on my desk!

  • First of all – don’t listen to that woman. Any type of exercise is good, and if you find it too tough, then you’re right – MODIFY!

I tried to stick to the P90x plan in the fall, but found it very hard to keep up with because you have to do it 6 days a week… and my work schedule is nuts and doesn’t allow for that. In my research into it, I did read that P90X is for people who need to lose that last 25lbs. Meaning that if you do the 90 days of the program, a person that has more than that to lose, won’t look like some of the people in the videos! But it is definitely still beneficial.

There is also another program put out by the same “Beach Body” group… just called P90 (no “X”). A friend of mine did this program last year and lost 48lbs! The program is not as strenuous. The videos are only 30-45 minutes instead of 60-90minutes. And they are not as advanced. But… they do the same thing – they get you moving. AND… I think you only do it 5 days a week instead of 6. She bought it on E-Bay for like $50. Might be another option to start with. But honestly, if you’re finding P90X manageable, I’d stick with it!

ps – i’ve been reading your blog for months now and I think it is great! I think this is the first time I’m commenting… i love your fashion fridays, pure genius!
pps – and when I preach about exercise/weight loss, take it with a grain of salt, because I definitely haven’t figured out the strategy that works for me… well I have… but it includes getting off my ass and limiting chocolate… neither of which I find easy to do!

  • People can get some funny ideas sometimes. I made a comment to my mother one time about running on the treadmill and she got all concerned because she thought I shouldn’t be running. Ever. At all. No idea why. Maybe because I have asthma? Which is caused by allergies and weather changes, not exercise.

In any case, I just keep my mouth shut and keep doing my thing. I know she’s just concerned and can’t help “mothering”.

  • all this talk about the P90 videos, I’m going to have to check into them, even Jillian Michaels mentioned them on a podcast I was listening to, she said they were tough and good, so if she says they are tough and your doing them, means simply that your a rock star! but of course, I already knew that ;0)

  • I missed your fashion friday post. What am I going to do this week ;D

I have been a long time lurker on your blog, from la vita bella now onto this new blog. I have also just started blogging and wanted to start dropping by to weigh in by commenting :D
