Everytime I am doing good, I come on here, say I am doing good and then just seem to slip and fall…so I won’t even say it…but I will say – I am keeping it up!!!

I am super excited actually!! Danny and I are in day 3 of following the p90X plan (the 90 day one?) and I realize that it is only a short time in, but seriously, it already feels acheivable!!

And yes, the videosĀ are INTENSE but I LOVE how you can modify them, and really, if I can’t do something, I do an easier version or just keep my body moving…I am burning WAY more in 1 hour doing this than I do 2 hours at the gym, my heart rate is constant and I LOVE IT! Plus, on the video we did yesterday (which even the guy in the video said was one of the toughest) everything was done in 30 second increments so really you could get through 30 seconds of anything, so it helps to push for those, and then you know that after a set of 4, you get a break…so that’s nice!!

Anyway, so now that I am working out again, I can see myself making better food choices again! I COULD grab a prepackaged snack – or I could slice up an orange instead (and even last night when I sliced MY FINGER while slicing my orange, I still didn’t reach for the packaged snacks!!)…we have even had chips in our house for almost 2 weeks and I haven’t eaten them! that is ridiculous!

AND I definitely have realistic expectations out of this video! I don’t expect to have the beachbody at the end….but I hope I will come out of it a few inches smaller and a little lighter!

Also on that note, I have two fitness related things I am signing up for within the next month or so – one is a Biggest Loser type contenst in my office…it is $25 to join and the winner gets the pot!!! I DEFINITELY plan on winning that money!!! and then the second is the Relay for Life again! we are going to have a MUCH better team than last year – a team where they understand how to take turns and yeah…it won’t work out that we are walking for 10 hours straight again!!!

So I am super excited looking forward to all these activities and what not…and I really listened to Randi when she commented on my blog for a new routine (I am too lazy to look up the link right now!!). She asked why i couldn’t work out in the evening…and that’s right!!! I decided to have the mornings for ME time…where I can read and eat my breakfast comfortably and then when Danny and I get home from work, we work out and then make supper…it works perfectly!! then you still have MOST of the evening ahead of you, and really, what else do you need to do that you can’t spare a LITTLE time???

  • Isn’t that so funny how we think we can’t make the time when really it’s so easy to – we just have to give up one little small thing like one show on tv that we won’t really miss anyway!
