So this post was supposed to have ACTUAL pictures from my camera on it, but instead I had to get the pictures from the web because I wasn’t able to post pictures yesterday and I didn’t have time to try before leaving the house this morning.
Anyway, so I said that one of the things I wanted to work on in my “Spice up your Life” project was beauty.
I have a LOT of products. And have acquired a few more lately. My mom did a Sephora run for me in Edmonton a couple of weeks ago and she just ordered me a few items from MAC for Christmas (well, not for Christmas but as PART of my Christmas gift as she will give them to me when it all arrives).
So I thought I would share a few of the products I am loving, as well as a couple of new items and whatnot. I am trying to get in the habit of using items every day (eyeshadow and what not) instead of just a little concealer and foundation.
Okay, so here goes!!
Diorskin Nude Mineral Foundation – This is the foundation that I have been using. I am a huge fan of Dior products because they sit really nice on my skin (and this one is hydrating AND mineral). I didn’t realize that they aren’t cruelty free as Cat told me…but I have been using it and I am absolutely loving it (oh, another downside is that I have to mix 2 colors together to get a match for my skin!)
Makeup Forever Camo Cream Concealer – I REALLY love this product! I am new to trying it and I find it is REALLY creamy and it really SINKS in under my eyes instead of sitting in lines or something. And I find the color I have matches my skin perfectly.
Anastasia Brow Fix Pencil – its a waxy pencil that helps tame your brows! I have a brow pencil that I keep in my purse for touchups if needed during the day, but I find that my brows get really unruly as well! So I got this to keep in there to help me out and I absolutely adore it!
Makeup Forever HD Powder – I use this to brush over top of my liquid foundation for staying powder. I LOVE the airbrushed look this powder gives my face! And because it is so thin I can put it in this:
Sephora Refillable Kabuki Brush – It isn’t the BEST brush in the world, but it’s a great way to carry powder and a brush all in one. And because it has a cap on it as well, I don’t have to worry about spillage in my purse!

Those should be arriving next week, and I totally see me trying Cat’s Smokey Eye in my near future!! Perhaps I will have to make a video response to see how it turns out!!!
Oh, and I also decided to copy Cat (haha, copycat!) by purchasing a red lipstick!!!
I have this Dior Lipgloss in Red Stockings
and OF COURSE, her signature, MAC Lipstick in Russian Red
So that’s that!! I think I will need to update with a few looks or something that I pull out of my hat with all these fun products!!!
(I should thank my mom for all the wonderful products and my awesome friend C for picking up my Russian Red for me!!!)

Russian Red is my fav red ever! I use it with ‘Brick’ lipliner and I love it.
Don’t worry about the cruelty free thing…everyone has their cause and we’re all different. It’s just one of the things that I do…
I totally want that other pallet that you told me about….the smokey one. I need to get off my behind and just buy it.
You are one hot lady and all those products are only going to add to your supreme hotness….

Ok First of all…..I totally love love love your Spice Up Your Life idea. Love it. I think my own life needs a little spicing to be honest. Maybe lots of spice.
I love how you picked areas that you want to see change and each of them are related in one way or another. I think this is an absolutely fantastic project and I am behind you 100% of the way!!
