First of all, I would like to apologize for not posting at the end of last week – Thursday was such a busy day at work and then my friends birthday and Friday was just…well, I stayed home sick and had a neverending list of things to do!!
Anyway, I realized that I don’t necessarily have to wait to write a post – ooh technology. If I have enough stuff for two posts, why not post date them? For instance, right now I am watching “Grease” and getting ready to go to the gym then lunch with the in-laws (what kind of sadist made these plans??) – but you will be reading it when I am at work the wonders of it all hey??
Anyway, that isn’t really the point I am trying to get to!!
So – weigh in this week was down 1 pound…I was a LITTLE disappointed at first because I worked hard last week (4 workouts compared to the 3 the week before) BUT THEN I had to remind myself that I ate 3 pieces of cake this past week, had lots of bread and brie at my friends birthday and I DID try something new (Zumba) to be proud of…so in the end, I feel good about it. I could of let it get to me and fallen off the wagon, but instead I decided to hit the gym and eat great…and therefore FEEL great!
Last night we were supposed to go bowling with our friends but it wasn’t written in the stars because they were all booked up when I called. So I called our friends up to see what they wanted to do…the Husband and I had tried to play badminton earlier in the day but that was packed too, so we jokingly suggested it to our friends and they were all for it (they are sporty people!).
So the 4 of us went to a school gym where one of our friend teaches and we played badminton, four square and basketball for about an hour and forty five minutes. I can’t even BELIEVE the muscles that are sore this morning!! My one arm was a little sore last night from badminton so I rubbed some muscle stuff on it before bed, but my quads and my hip flexors are feeling it this morning!
It was so much fun acting like a kid again for a night and getting a workout instead of sitting around on a Saturday night!!

That is the best way to workout – just by having fun! I wish all workouts could feel like you were just playing.

Aww this post makes me miss Eric because we used to play random sports ALL THE TIME – basketball, tennis and roller hockey were our favourites. And the best part was that it was SO FUN but also a killer workout!
